Educational Trip to Jim Corbett

"Travelling - It leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." To promote learning through outdoor interactions and experiences, Brilliants" Convent, West Enclave organized a three-day fun-filled, educational tour to Corbett National Park for the students of classes IX-XII from 28 April-30 April 2023. The tour commenced with a lunch and check-in to Winsome Resorts. The evening was equally exhilarating for them as they enjoyed adventurous activities i.e. - Zipline, Artificial rock climbing and Obstacles etc. Later the students enjoyed watching a movie on the wildlife accompanied with delicious dinner. The next day, the students visited Garija Temple and enjoyed around Kashi River which is a famous tourist spot in this region. The students then spent some pensive moments writing their diary on environment and forests. They were delighted to go on a jungle safari which was a wonderful experience of driving through the forest as they sighted different species of animals and explored the various trails of the park. The evening was cherished with DJ and dinner. On the final day, the children visited Hanuman Dham before proceeding to school. Travelling together for this trip not only helped to bring the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork to the fore but also connected the children to nature and wildlife.

Eco Expo - 2023

To inculcate educational needs in the young minds and to make learning an adventure through experiential learning, Brilliants' Convent celebrated this new year by organizing a Gala Exhibition ECO-EXPO on 21 January 2023 considering the necessity of Sustainable Development Goals alongwith the initiatives taken by BCS and the facilities provided by the school for the overall development of our global children. Educational clubs of Robotics, Eco club, Sports Club, Visual Art Club, Abacus Knowledge along with rench Club and Medical check-up were the main attractions which made everyone spell bound. It was an honour for the school to have Smt.Harsh Arya, DDE of North-West B & Dr. Rakesh Rahi ,DDE of Zone 11 as the Guest of honour. The exhibition also showcased various states,their culture, famous places,monuments, delicacies etc. wherein little brilliantians were fully prepared with the knowledge of all states under the umbrella of "Unity in Diversity" and "Ek Bharat shreshth Bharat." School founder D.S Mann, Principal Dr. Reeta Hashia admired the exhibition alongwith parents & Media. They appreciated the praiseworthy efforts shown by brilliantians which showcased their self-confidence and skills to face the world. Overall, It was a grand successful educational cum informative event.

To highlight the importance of "Service above self, Brilliants' Convent has successfully installed the Interact Club on 29 November 2022.The ceremony began with the lightening of the lamp by Rotary Club President Ms. Kusum Gupta, Mr. Mohan Nagpal & Mr. Neeraj Gupta alongwith Mr. Jatin Mann Sir and Principal Dr. Reeta Hashia Ma'am. Thereafter, a musical rendition to invoke the Lord's blessings by the school choir resonated in the hall. The Installation ceremony started with the National Anthem. The newly appointed Interact Club Members were installed with badges and collars. The new Interact Club President Moureen Sharma shared her vision for the year. Eminent Rotarians motivated the students with their words of wisdom and appreciated the work done by the school. The Principal congratulated the newly inducted members of the Interact Club who beamed with excitement. The ceremony commenced with a welcome song, cultural dance and group dance depicting the Unity in Diversity of India. Charter of Interact club was presented by the President of Rotary Club on the same day. Chief Guest Ms. Kusum Gupta appreciated the efforts and activities taken up by Interact Club members in a fantabulous manner. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and assurance to do our best in the future endeavours under the umbrella of Interact Club.

SGT University Visit

Educational tours are believed to be a key way to foster a child's confidence and overall development of mental facilities. Students are able to explore and begin to understand the real world practically and our school brilliants convent leaves no room in when it comes to their students. With this belief our school organised an excursion to SGT university on 10th November 2022 , the university is home to various inventions which gives students the practical understanding about the significance of higher education and how students become an asset to the society. The university had organised an exhibition covering all the fields such as sciences, robotics , literature and natural sciences . Students took initiative to make changes in the contemporary era and our students were curious and questioned the mentors about the concepts and the real life significance of the experiments. The students through this tour were able to do critical thinking on the various concepts introduced in the exhibition via various experiments such as creating useful goods out of waste and do sustainable cost cutting, devices that help an individual to about there multitasking skills , making eco friendly products concerning the environment and nature etc .In a nutshell this educational tour proved to be fruitful , innovative , informative and provided students with new ideas of innovation and indeed a memorable venture.

Language Exchange Programme with Taiwan

"Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things, but learning another way to think about different things.."

With this thought provoking lines by Flora Lewis, A webinar on Language Exchange Programme was conducted by Puli Industrial and Vocational High School, Taiwan in collaboration with Brilliants Convent School , India on August 10,2022 at 08:30am IST with an objective to promote and sustain SDG 4 - Quality Education and SDG-17 Partnership for Goals wherein the Principals of respective country schools put forward their thoughts and motivated students for the program, after this the resource person Ms. Wu Yuhua from Taiwan shed light on the importance of learning a new language which helps us to connect with different people across the nation.
The session started with formal greetings and salutations in Chinese language while laying more focus on translation and pronunciation to our global citizens.
Our proud brilliantians had participated well in the live quiz session of webinar which helped them to know the culture and civilization of Taiwan better.
The session was enriching and informative, our students learnt how to greet someone in Chinese and how to go for a basic conversation. Both the countries are looking forward to have more sessions like these and will collaborate for more in future.

Experiential learning by Brilliantians

Doing something new and creative has always been a habit and tradition in Brilliants' Convent. As real classroom is not only confined to four walls. It expands with every new experience and knowledge... To ensure practical learning and follow NEP ,The field visit activity to National Institute of Plant Biotechnology , Genetics Dept. and Phytotron Dept. has been conducted by the school , which is indeed a memorable experience for the students as they have learnt many things through experiential learning by applying their theoretical knowledge into daily life. With a mission to teach our future change makers about farming & technology, the students and teachers of Brilliants' Convent have visited The Indian Agricultural Research Institute on 18 October 2022 to learn and gain hands- on experience about agriculture bio technology, Rice genome sequencing, Recombinant DNA, Gel electrophoresis, PCR techniques etc.

"Blessings Day" 2020

Brilliant's Convent Sr. Sec School organized "Blessings Day" for the students of class XII. It was a morning of mixed emotions on February 7th as the elegantly dressed up students reminisced the beautiful journey they undertook in their alma mater. The ceremony began with a small hawan followed by the title giving. A scintillating talent hunt was also organized which encompassed myriad performances recounting the significant moments that spoke remarkably of the students fun filled learning expedition. The Manager sir , Sh. D.S. Mann blessed the students for a bright and prosperous future and the Principal maam, Ms. Reeta Hashia wished the students a blissful journey with plentiful accomplishments and unparallel success. With a winning aplomb Avi Rathi and Shikha Mathur won everyone's heart and received the title for Mr. and Ms. Brilliantian. Along with this Shreya Bhatt won the title of Ms. Brilliantian Beauty and Vasudev Hashia won the title of Mr.Smart Brilliantian. The day was thus festooned with a flurry of activities which ended with a delicious mouthwatering lunch.

INDIA MAURITIUS EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

Proud moment for BCS as the school organised an Educational Exchange Programme wherein a delegation comprised of 20 students and 12 teachers from Mauritius visited the premises of Brilliants Convent Sr. Sec. School on 22 Nov 2019.

550th GURU NANAK DEV JAYANTI

A wonderful assembly conducted on 11th Nov by class 7th on Guru Nanak Jayanti 550th Prakash Purab Assembly was hosted by Shaurya and Jaspreet. Students gave 10 preachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. At the end Respected Principal ma'am Ms.Reeta Hashia talked about Langer Pratha which was started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji which gives the message of love and sharing to all human beings.

TRIP TO JAIPUR CITY

It was such an amazing and memorable trip for all of us as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & the destinations covered were:- --> Amber Fort --> Hawa Mahal --> Jal Mahal --> Choki Dhani --> Asia's biggest Mall --> Bapu Market The beauty & Architecture of the Forts and monuments amazed us.
